We recently read an interesting piece by Abhishek Das that makes a point: Hospitals don’t lack data — they lack the ability to learn together.
And that’s exactly what we’re working on with the Better AI Health project. Instead of trying to move sensitive patient data across institutions, we’re taking a different approach: let the data stay where it is, and move the learning instead.
Through a distributed model (Personal Health Train), hospitals can collaborate, train AI models, and improve outcomes without giving up control of their data.
It’s probably one of the most important shifts happening in healthcare AI right now: from isolated intelligence → to shared, trusted learning.
